The cashback program of up to 1 million VND for NAPAS cardholders when proceeding payment in Korea will be extended from now until September 20, 2023. The extension not only contributes to stimulating tourism activities, but also encourages people’s habit of non-cash payment when traveling or working in Korea.

Accordingly, National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) has coordinated with member banks and BC Card Company - Korea (BC Card) to implement the program “NAPAS card in your hand, discover Korea right away” to bring attractive incentives and gifts to NAPAS cardholders when paying at payment points in BC Card network - Korea. Specifically, customers will be refunded 20% for transactions with a minimum invoice of 500,000 VND, the refund amount is up to 1 million VND.

The offer is applied to NAPAS domestic cardholders of 11 banks including TPBank, ABBANK, Bac A Bank, BaoViet Bank, MAFC, Nam A Bank, Saigonbank, Viet Capital Bank, VietABank, SHB, Co-opBank. NAPAS cardholders will receive the offer once during the program period.

In the first phase of implementation (from October 20, 2022 to the end of March 20, 2023), the program has received the attention and response from a large number of Vietnamese tourists when traveling or working in Korea. Spending and paying by NAPAS card brings convenience and speed, as well as other incentives for visitors such as fees, foreign currency conversion rates,... Especially, POS machines for NAPAS cards in BC Card’s network are in major shopping centers in Korea, creating convenience and attracting many visitors. By extending the application period of incentives for customers from now until the end of September 20, 2023, NAPAS wishes to support tourism and trade promotion activities between Vietnam and Korea. This is also part of NAPAS's strategy to strengthen international cooperation to create practical benefits, along with a convenient, fast and safe payment experience for all customers.

As a provider of financial switching services and national retail payment infrastructure, over the past time, NAPAS has made efforts to promote cooperation with Korean financial institutions to enhance digital electronic payment between the two countries. One of them is a cooperation project with BC Card company to deploy NAPAS domestic chip card payment in Korea.

NAPAS card is a payment card issued by Vietnamese banks and financial companies. The card is integrated with modern chip technology, complying with the basic standards of domestic chip cards of the State Bank of Vietnam and EMVCo. international standards, increasing safety and security features for cardholders and avoiding the risks of fraudulent transactions. The domestic chip card lines issued by banks today include domestic debit card, prepaid card, credit card and dual card (integrated the features of debit and credit cards in one physical card).
