The NAPAS Grassroots Trade Union Congress of tenure 2023 - 2028 was held to review, discuss and evaluate the trade union’s activities in the past tenure (2017 - 2022) in order to set direction and task for next tenure; elect the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and representatives to attend the Trade Union Congress of the Banking sector.

According to the report of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of tenure 2017-2022 and the mission direction of tenure 2023-2028 by March 15, 2023, the total number of NAPAS employees is 286 (increased from 179 to 286 employees in the tenure 2017-2022), in which 100% employees are union members. The average age of trade union members is relatively young with solid professional qualifications; good moral qualities, sense of responsibility at work; and enthusiastically participate in activities. The implementation of regimes and policies for employees is guaranteed, such as social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and welfare regimes, which are always paid attention by the Company in accordance with regulations and policies of the State. The salary regime of employees is always guaranteed, paid on time, thereby making employees feel secure in their work, and have a desire to stick with the Company for a long time. In addition, the Company also ensures to constantly improve conditions, facilities and working facilities for employees.

Also in the last tenure, the Executive Committee of NAPAS Grassroots Trade Union has also maintained annual social activities, participated in the volunteer movement with the Vietnam Banking Union; in the 2017-2022 tenure, NAPAS Grassroots Trade Union has built a Social Charity Fund with an amount of 1.2 billion VND and a Bank Gratitude Fund of 420 million VND from the support of trade union members to organize charity activities; each year NAPAS participates in charity activities with the State bank emulation block with an average amount of about 300 million VND/year. At the same time, coordinates to organize internal activities to connect the Company's employees such as team building events in Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Quang Binh; Family day in the form of running events in Soc Son,...

At the congress, on behalf of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of tenure 2017-2022, Ms. Pham Thi Phuong Nga also raised the limitations and needed to draw lessons from the trade union work to improve the efficiency in the next stages.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung - the Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors appreciated and congratulated the achievements of NAPAS Trade Union in the past tenure. As a representative to protect the legitimate rights and interests of trade union members in the company, take care of the employees’ life as well as participate in management, production and business activities, NAPAS Trade Union has contributed significantly to the overall success of the Company in recent years. In particular, Mr. Quang Hung also emphasized that during the covid-19 epidemic, NAPAS Trade Union has coordinated to deploy tools and solutions to work online for the employees to ensure smooth work, security and stability for the organization.

At the congress, Mr. Quang Hung also thanked for the contribution of all trade union members and the support of the Trade Union of the State Bank of Vietnam. At the same time, he also emphasized the evolution of the social and political situation in the country and around the world, the development of science and technology. Therefore, the task of the Trade Union and departments must be always to ensure the safe, stable and smooth operation of the payment infrastructure, and at the same time strive for the common goal and orientation, in which the focus is on researching and applying new technology to bring convenience and safety to users.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung - Member of Standing Committee, Head of the Organization Department of Vietnam National Union of Bank Workers sent his best wishes to the congress and thanked the NAPAS Board of Directors for facilitating the Company Trade Union. Through monitoring the activities and the performance evaluation report, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung appreciated the activities of the NAPAS trade union in the process of building and overall development of the Trade Union of Vietnam Bank, recognized and praised the achievement of NAPAS Trade Union in its role as a gathering place for workers’ voices.

He also clarified the 6 main tasks of the new Executive Committee of the Trade Union, and proposed to elect the new Executive Committee with sufficient moral qualities and capacity to make the Trade Union’s activities more and more effective, and continue to uphold the responsibility, motivate and take care of the employees’ life so that they feel secure at work and strive to complete the Company’s plan.

Receiving the directional comments of the leaders of the superior trade union, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long - Chairman of NAPAS Trade Union thanked the attention and direction of the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Vietnam Bank.

The NAPAS Trade Union Congress took place successfully with 136 votes to elect the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the 2022 - 2028 tenure including comrades: Nguyen Hoang Long, Pham Thi Phuong Nga, Bui Thi My Anh, Nguyen Thanh The , Pham Thi Thanh An, Nguyen Thanh Tung, Le Thi Hong Nhung, Nguyen Ngoc Loan, Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung. 

The new Executive Committee is expected to continue to bring more success to NAPAS trade union’s activities, thereby facilitating the development of each individual and strong organization.
