The NAPAS Workers Conference is an annual event to create opportunities for the Company’s employees to exchange and propose ideas related to their rights, benefits and responsibilities. This is also an opportunity for the Company’s Board of Directors to listen and answer issues that employees are concerned about, and to communicate the Company’s new guidelines and policies to all officers and union members.

Opening the conference, on behalf of the Executive Board, Mr. Nguyen Dang Hung - Deputy General Director of NAPAS presented a summary report on activities in 2023 and orientation for operation in 2024. Accordingly, in the past year, NAPAS has achieved remarkable results in implementing key tasks under the direction of the State Bank of Vietnam as well as exceeding the targets in the business plan. Some typical results can be mentioned as (i) Ensuring stable and safe operation of the financial switching and electronic clearing system to meet the high growth demand of electronic payments of the people and to serve economic activities; (ii) Continue to expand public service payments by VietQR code on the National Public Service portal with 29 banks; (iii) Continue to connect the automatic clearing system of retail transactions to member organizations; (iv) Promote cross-border payment with Thailand and Cambodia; (v) Process international card transaction in compliance with Circular 19 of the State Bank of Vietnam; (vi) Deploy the digital infrastructure (Tap To Pay) etc.

According to NAPAS leaders, in 2024, based on the goals of the Company development strategy for the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, NAPAS will continue to promote its role in building and operating the national retail payment infrastructure, promoting non-cash payment according to the policies of the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam.

Regarding the report on trade union activities in 2023, the NAPAS Grassroots Executive Committee of Trade Union has proactively propagated and disseminated laws, raised the awareness of union members and workers in implementing the Party’s policies and guidelines, the State’s law; protected the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; organized social security activities, participated in volunteer movements with the Vietnam Banking Union; organized internal activities to connect employees in the Company such as teambuilding events in Quang Binh, Family Day with the running race in Soc Son, etc.

Also in Workers Conference of NAPAS, to facilitate employees to exchange, propose and recommend issues related to the Company’s policies, on April 5, 2024, NAPAS held a dialogue meeting between the Board of Directors and employee representatives. The Board of Directors received 13 opinions from trade union members and employees of the Company related to main groups of issues such as (i) working time and rest time; (ii) employee incentive policies, training regime for new personnel; (iii) improving the working conditions, space, and facilities; etc. In the spirit of straightforward and democratic dialogue dialogue, in accordance with the provisions of the current Labor Code, related instructions and the Company’s democratic regulations, the two sides have agreed on the contents of the dialogue and sent conclusions on recommendations to all employees of the Company.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Tran Hong Tuan - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Banking Union congratulated on the results that NAPAS has achieved in 2023. He also requested the Company’s Board of Directors, in the near future, to continue to promote the sense of responsibility, encourage and take care of the lives of employees so that they could wholeheartedly devote to the work and strive to complete the plan of this year much higher than in 2023. In addition, Mr. Tran Hong Tuan also appreciated the upcoming operation of building a new headquarters of NAPAS, thereby creating the best working conditions for the Company’s officers and employees.

Accepting the directional opinions of superior union leaders, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NAPAS thanked for the attention and direction of the Vietnam Banking Union. He also emphasized that with the effort and determination of the officers and employees of the Company, NAPAS will try their best to complete key tasks in 2024 and implement the goals of the Company development strategy for the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

The 2024 NAPAS Workers Conference was a great success with 100% of delegates unanimously approving the Conference Resolution.
