At the conference, NAPAS and its partners shared insights and exchanged ideas on sustainable development opportunities in the payment market amidst major economic transformations. The electronic payment sector has made important strides, highlighted by Government Decree No. 52/2024/ND-CP on cashless payments and SBV Circular 40/2024/TT-NHNN on providing payment intermediary services, which expand operational scope and growth potential for PIs.

Meanwhile, cashless payment habits among the public continue to rise, reflected in daily transaction growth. According to the State Bank of Vietnam, in the first seven months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, cashless transactions increased by 44.4% in volume and 25.04% in value, while QR code transactions rose 66.73% in volume and 159% in value. These figures demonstrate a clear shift in consumer behavior, laying a solid foundation for the development of the digital payment ecosystem.

Amid these opportunities and growing demand for electronic payments, NAPAS and PIs reviewed notable achievements in 2025 and set directions for sustainable cooperation in the future. Specifically, NAPAS and PIs jointly implemented key projects, including money transfer via e-wallets; VIETQRPay payments at domestic acceptance points; VietQR Global for international visitors; NAPAS Apple Pay; Tap and Pay; and public transport payments via metro and buses. These services diversify payment methods and meet the increasing demands of users.

Moving forward, NAPAS will continue to develop the NAPAS Digital Payment Platform to support payments via cards, accounts, e-wallets, QR codes, and more, across online channels and acceptance points, optimizing user experience. NAPAS and PIs will also expand the network of acceptance points, with a focus on VietQR Global for international customers.

NAPAS remains committed to close collaboration with PIs in delivering efficient services, promoting connectivity, safety, and integration within the system, and acting as a trusted bridge between banks and PIs. NAPAS believes that the partnership will create an open platform, where PIs can cooperate, grow, and provide superior payment solutions for customers.

As part of the conference, NAPAS also held the Award Ceremony honoring outstanding PIs. The awards were determined based on criteria such as transaction growth, online payment efficiency, and dynamism in service implementation.
