ABOUT NAPAS
National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) was established in 2004, on the basis of changing its name from Vietnam National Financial Switching Joint Stock Company, after being merged with Smartlink Card Service Joint Stock Company. NAPAS is a payment intermediary service provider licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam to provide financial switching and electronic clearing services in Vietnam. The main shareholders of NAPAS include the State Bank of Vietnam and 15 large commercial banks in Vietnam.
NAPAS is currently managing and operating an interconnection switching system with more than 19,200 ATMs, more than 300,000 POS machines serving nearly 90 million cardholders; providing a payment connection infrastructure for more than 40 payment intermediary service providers and more than 200 businesses in the fields of transportation, aviation, telecommunication, and insurance; with the participation of 54 member organizations being domestic/international banks and financial institutions operating in Vietnam.
